Every August, thousands of Edexcel students make the same mistake: they Google "results day 2026", land on a Cambridge article, and put the wrong date in their phone. If your exam paper said Pearson Edexcel at the top, 18 August means nothing to you. Your dates are Thursday 13 August 2026 (International A Level and AS) and Thursday 20 August 2026 (International GCSE) — and your results arrive through a different portal, on a different schedule, with a different remark deadline than the Cambridge one every revision site writes about. The two dates — and why yours might be both

Pearson splits the June-series releases by qualification level, a week apart. Households with one child in Year 11 and another in Year 13 get two results days — and because Cambridge's IGCSE day (18 August) lands between them, a mixed-board school year group can have three. Where your result actually appears

1. School candidates — your school, then ResultsPlus Direct
   Schools receive results from Pearson and release them to students on the day, each on its own schedule — ask your exams officer this week how and when yours releases. If your school has enabled it, you can also log in to ResultsPlus Direct with credentials the school issues — get them before results week, not on the morning.
2. British Council private candidates — 4pm local time
   The British Council releases exam results to private candidates at 4pm local time on results day, through its results portal or email, depending on your country. That afternoon release surprises students who expect a Cambridge-style morning — plan the day around it rather than refreshing from 8am.
3. Pull the grade boundaries the same day

IAL students: the unit game rewards the organised

Because International A Levels are modular, your 13 August results are really a unit-by-unit map of where marks live. A C in Maths built from a strong WMA11 and a weak WST01 is a completely different situation from uniform C's — the first is one focused unit resit away from a B.
