Every date still to come this season

Results day is not the end of the calendar. Two decisions close within weeks of it, and because a review of marks takes weeks to come back, most students enter the November retake before they know the outcome. Every date below is counting in real time.

Dates come from Cambridge International and Pearson Edexcel for the June 2026 series. Your exams officer works to an earlier internal cut-off than the board's own — always ask theirs.

Closes 23:59 UK, wherever you are

The deadline closes at one worldwide moment, so it reads as a different hour on your clock — and east of the UK, on the following day. Cambridge results land the same way. Edexcel results do not: British Council centres hand them over at 4pm local time, a different moment in every country. That is why the counter above changes when you change your zone.

Questions about results day

When is IGCSE results day 2026?
It depends on your board. Cambridge International IGCSE and O Level results are released on Tuesday 18 August 2026 at 06:00 UK time. Pearson Edexcel International GCSE results follow on Thursday 20 August 2026. Cambridge AS and A Level came earlier, on 11 August, and Edexcel IAL on 13 August. The board printed on your question paper is the one that decides your date.
What time do results actually come out where I am?
Cambridge releases at a single worldwide moment — 06:00 UK time — so that is 08:00 in Jordan, 09:00 across the UAE and the Gulf, 10:00 in Pakistan and 10:30 in India. Edexcel works differently: British Council centres hand results over at 4pm local time, which is a different moment in every country rather than one shared instant. The countdown on this page accounts for both.
Does that mean I get my results at 06:00?
No. That is when the results reach your school's system, not when they reach you. Your school then decides what time it issues them, and most issue the same day. The countdown marks the moment the results exist, which is the only part with a fixed time.
Do I need an account to use this countdown?
No. The countdown, every date on it and the time-zone table are open to anyone, with nothing to sign up for and nothing to enter.
What happens after results day?
Two deadlines close within weeks. Edexcel November entries shut on 12 September 2026, and reviews of marks close around 21 September for Cambridge and 24 September for Edexcel. Because a review takes weeks to come back, most students have to enter the November retake before they know the review outcome, so the two decisions get made together.
